By joining our coalition, you’ll be part of a movement to:

1. ADVOCATE for animals both inside and outside shelter walls, and expand high-volume spay/neuter resources statewide.

2. EDUCATE lawmakers, agencies, and the public on the truth behind failed shelter policies and practices.

3. LEGISLATE for common-sense reforms that increase transparency, accountability, and oversight of public animal shelters.

We're making an impact. Our work has shaken up the status quo and forced powerful organizations to take notice
We’ve fought and won against harmful state legislation. We’ve also helped to pass legislation that protects animals.
We fight for animal rights in local jurisdictions and regularly attend and lobby at City Council, Board of Supervisors, and Animal Commissions and Board meetings.
We’ve stood with advocates to help win lawsuits that affirmed Hayden’s Law protections for animals in the Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center v. L.A. County (the SPARC case) and Pet Assistance Foundation v. San Diego Humane Society.
We are currently actively involved in lawsuits against Riverside County Animal Care, bringing together resources and advocates to fight for animals and uphold the laws many publicly funded shelters ignore and violate daily.
